Maqbool Fida Husain Museum – Welcome to the art complex of the “Picasso of India”. Our scope of work in this project was to propose the design concept/approach of this museum located in Doha, Qatar. The painter MF Husain mastered not only the techniques of line and color, but also those of becoming a superstar of modern Indian art. The artist moved to Doha to work on 99 private painting donated to QF .In April 2010, H.E Sheikh Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani have suggested the construction within Education City of a museum dedicated to M.F Husain work. The vision was to care, preserve and make accessible the collection of Artwork made by artist. We started to concept the complex following the main concept and vision that the artist himself had for his own museum. In his sketch, he listed three features as the main elements which will determine the art complex: Blue house for painting, drawing, and sculpturing, White minaret for photography, graphic leading to the top terrace, and the wall with relief Arabic text.
