THEMATIC PAVILIONS

ASA proudly collaborated with one of the World’s leading construction and design companies Acciona PD, to further develop the design of eleven thematic pavilions of the EXPO 2020 event. Our team developed the concept design of the given pavilion and prepared the technical drawings for the execution phase of eleven pavilions of African countries. EXPO 2020 themed “Connecting minds, creating the future” is a World Expo to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, originally scheduled to open on October 20, 2020, and to and on April 10, 2021. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed to 2021 and the rescheduled new dates call for an opening on October 1, 2021. ASA team as a consultant, in collaboration with the main contractor Acciona PD, assisted and worked on the design development of eleven pavilions starting from Tender Package and developing them in the further stages (Riba Stage 3, Riba Stage 4 and 5). ASA
attended all the workshops scheduled between IP (International Participants), PPD, Arch plexus (the design architects) and APD by furthering the conception and development of each pavilion, every element part of them was developed to the detail. The Thematic Pavilions included these pavilions: ZIMBABWE, KENYA, SAN MARINO, AFRICAN UNION, MALI, NIGERIA,GHANA, SRI LANKA, SURINAME, ST.KITTS & NEVIS, MYANMAR.
